Building a geared 29er Willits?

Well, I have plans to get back into MTB racing this coming year. With a 3 year old, I haven’t had much time for racing and I really miss the 24hr races that we used to do, it gave me a reason to try and train a bit. This year, a few of us are planning on doing ORAMM and although I am sure I can finish it on a SS, I would rather have some gears. 
I sold my 26 geared Seven and order the Willits just before Christmas and Wes told me it would be Feb before he could start it.
At any rate, it’s time for some trainer miles and spin classes as it’s starting to get really cold, so I will focus on build base miles.
